Academia Europaea, established in 1988, is a pan-European academy for the humanities, literature, and sciences, whose goal is the advancement and dissemination of high scientific achievements. Membership in it is proof of an exceptional contribution to science. The academy includes 89 Nobel Prize winners, among them Prof. Philip Aghion, winner of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economics. Prof. Kirov is one of 11 Bulgarian members.
Prof. Kirov’s membership gives Bulgaria and the whole of Central and Eastern Europe a stronger voice in shaping European science policy!
