On 2.10.2025, Prof. Christian Imdorf, ERA Chair Holder under the ProSkills2Work project, took part as a panellist in the discussion “Dual Education – a Successful Model of Economic Development and Quality Employment”, which was part of the launch event for the DOMINO 2 project: “Mainstreaming Dual Vocational Education in Bulgaria”.
As a panellist, he provided a brief, historically informed overview of the more than 100-year trajectory of the Swiss dual VET system, as well as the emergence, over the past two decades, of a Swiss research field in VET. He argued that this established research community has become an important actor in producing and legitimising Swiss expertise in dual vocational education.
The DOMINO 2 project aims to build on the Swiss–Bulgarian cooperation in VET and to support the sustainable integration of dual VET into Bulgaria’s educational system.
