Dr. Svetlomir Zdravkov is a senior researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. His work lies at the intersection of education, labour market dynamics, and digital transformation. He specializes in computer-assisted sociology, network analysis, digital sociology, economic sociology, and the sociology of inequalities. His current research focuses on the transition from education to work, vocational education and training (VET), and employer expectations in a rapidly changing skills landscape. Dr. Zdravkov is part of the ProSkills2Work project, where he applies AI-based tools—including BERTopic and large language models—to classify job advertisements according to the EU’s ESCO framework. His approach combines computational techniques with sociological analysis to produce insights that are both academically rigorous and policy-relevant.
