On Friday 3 September 2026, from 11:00 to 12:00, ProSkills2Work will hold its fourth Research Seminar. The seminar will take place in the meeting room of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 4 Serdika Street, Sofia, and online via Zoom.
Neha Basnet, Junior Researcher in the ProSkills2Work project at IPS-BAS, will present Bulgarian Education to Work Transition: A Quantitative Panel Study (BEPS).
BEPS follows young people in Bulgaria as they move from upper-secondary education into employment, further education or other pathways. Using longitudinal survey data, the study examines skills, aspirations, well-being, inequalities and early labour-market outcomes. It aims to identify how education systems can better support fair and sustainable school-to-work transitions.
Neha Basnet is a researcher and development professional with a PhD in Behavioral and Social Sciences from the University of Groningen. Her work focuses on migration, youth transitions, gender, human rights and psychosocial well-being, with extensive research and programme experience across South Asia, Africa and Europe.
The lead discussant will be Prof. Christian Imdorf, ERA Chair Holder of the ProSkills2Work project.
The working language of the seminar will be English.
