We are excited to announce that the international ProSkills2Work Spring School will take place on Monday 16 – Thursday 19 March 2026 in venue: outside Sofia, Bulgaria.
The School is organised within the Horizon Europe project “Progressing Promising Skills to Work” (ProSkills2Work), coordinated by the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IPS-BAS).
The Spring School will provide high-quality training on developing research tools, with a particular focus on qualitative research methodologies and comparative practice research, including familiarising participants with Open Access QDA software.
A limited number of doctoral students and young researchers (within 2 years of receiving their doctorate) will participate in a four-day course. This will include lectures on key conceptual and methodological topics, as well as the opportunity to present their own research projects and receive feedback in a workshop setting. All sessions will be in person and in English.
During the Spring School lectures will be given and presentations discussed by Martin Heidenreich (Jean Monnet Chair of European Studies in the Social Sciences at the University of Oldenburg, Germany), Christian Imdorf (ERA Chair, IPS-BAS, Bulgaria & Leibniz University Hannover, Germany), Solvejg Jobst (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway), Jan Skrobanek (University of Bergen, Norway), and Rumiana Zheleva (IPS-BAS, Bulgaria).
